The club runs several teams, where all levels are welcome. If your child is total beginner we offer development sessions to help build the skill and confidence needed to enjoy the sport of basketball.

WHAT TEAM WILL YOUR CHILD BE IN?
Which Raptors team you are in, depends on what year your child was born as well as skill level for divisions and we try our best to keep friends together where possible.

The table explains which age group a player is eligible to play in each season based on their year of birth.

TRAINING SESSIONS

Training takes place once per week with the team coach and assistants where applicable at different times, catering firstly for coaches availability and location.

Currently our training locations are at one of the following:

    • Sacred Heart Primary School
    • St. Andrews Clayton South Primary School
    • Oakleigh Primary School
    • Westall Secondary College

We recommend comfortable sports gear and gym shoes, however kids can also wear their Raptors uniform.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

All our coaches are parents and/or junior players at the club. They volunteer their time during training each week and on game day on the weekend. The club provides them with essential equipment and tools to run a successful training session. We are regularly educating our coaches by offering coaches training sessions and support them in their Level 1 accreditation.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO BECOME A COACH?

We are always in need of more coaches and assistant coaches.  Contact us today for more information. There is also more information on at the McKinnon Basketball Association website for domestic coaching material.

The Oakleigh Raptors Basketball Club is a Not for Profit Organisation. We are lucky enough to have the following parents, friends and family of the club commit their personal time to help run our club.

We are always in the look out for more volunteers! Please reach out if you would like to be part of the committee.

Please contact Adeline at: uniforms@raptors.org.au to place an order for your uniform or for any uniform related enquiries.

There is an option to choose the number for your uniform. However if this number is already taken, we will assign a different number. If you unsure about the size, we do have a set of each size to try on.

All players must wear the "reversible playing singlet" and "playing shorts" to all game day games.
