Congratulations to Ben O’Connor from our under 20’s team who finished second in the 3 Point Heroes competition at John Cain Arena on Sunday. The 3 Point Heroes competition had over 100 young athletes from around the state competing in a 3 point sharpshooting showcase! Our very own Ben O’Connor made it to the Grand Final where he competed in front of a huge crowd at John Cain Arena at half time during the Melbourne United vs Tasmania Jackjumpers game on Sunday 16 October. Ben made all the Raptors proud coming in second. Well done Ben!
Congratulations to Alyssa Polites who has won gold in the women’s cycling 4000m team pursuit event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games! Alyssa played with the Oakleigh Raptors from Grade 3 until Year 7, after which she found her passion for cycling. From all of us at the Oakleigh Raptors, we’re super proud of your super effort Alyssa!
